A figure is neater at the top than the bottom. You probably have narrow shoulders and waist, small bust, and is slightly wider over hips and bum.
Balance the upper and lower body by dress plain and simple at the bottom and lift up your upper body with patterns, layers and accessories.
AT THE TOP
Choose: Layer upon layer, patterned or detail. It draws attention to the upper body.Twin-set, top with neat, matching jacket or cardigan, is also perfect for you. Draped neckline makes your bust looks larger.
Avoid: Tops that ends just at the widest part of the hip. Halter neck, which fits snugly around the neck and leaving a large part of the shoulders bare. It "pulls together" the shoulders and widen the hips.
AT THE BOTTOM
Select: Pants with width. Ideally, they should be in a little heavier fabric, which is smooth and fall nicely. Simple skirts which fall nicley, and gives room for the butt and hip. A-line is flattering.
Avoid: Patterns, details, and pockets around the hips and buttocks. It has amagnifying effect. Skirts with ruffles or pleats, which magnifies.
