V-shape is wider at the top than the bottom. This means that you have a larger shoulder and chest,
with narrow hips and often smaler bum.
Create a better balance between upper and lower body. Tone down with simple cut and dark colors on top, and reinforce the hips with the help of pockets, bright colors and accessories.
AT THE TOP
Select: Tops, jackets and coats with simple cut, in dark colors. Preferably brighter colors, pockets or other details on the hips. Wrap-and empirestyles suites you too.
V-neck and vertical stripes extends in a flattering way.
Avoid: puff sleeves, boat neck and large lapels or collars. They reinforce the impression of broad chest and shoulders. Large, bulky sweaters magnifies the entire upper body.
AT THE BOTTOM
Select: Nearly any trouser styles, such as Capri, military pants and jeans in different models. Pockets strengthens the hips. Since you are narrow at the bottom, you can easily have brighter colors. Simple and straight skirts. Pencil skirt is very
flattering, because it brings out and highlight the hips.
Avoid: Pants with drawstring waist. They pucker and give you a bigger belly
instead of hips. Too large and wide skirts, with much detail as ruffles and pleats.
